My research focuses on the impact of several months of extra uterine life and hospitalization in neonatal intensive care unit, on the sensorimotor developement of very premature infants, born between 2 and 4 months before the term and who, by elsewhere, do not have brain damage. I work under the supervision of Marianne Barbu-Roth.
Our aim is to find out if, at the corrected age of the term, these very premature infants develop similar capacities to those of infants born at term, regarding their spontaneous mobility or in response to different maternal stimuli, essential capacities to their early interactions with their environement.
This project is the result of a large interdisciplinary collaboration between specialists of motor development, perception-action, biomechanics; physiotherapists, neonatologists and osteopaths as I am myself.
